Experimentation is becoming widely recognized as a gold standard in software feature measurementso we’ve spent the last two years making trustworthy experimentation support a seamless component of our feature management platform

In June, we launched a major overhaul of our experimentation offering, and James Frost, Experimentation Head of Product at LaunchDarkly, is excited to share our perspective, learnings, approach, and what new features you can use right now - as well as where we’re heading next.

James Frost

James Frost is Head of Product, Experimentation at LaunchDarkly.  He has 14 years of experience as an analytical and design-focused product leader building platforms and consumer products, including roles at Microsoft. 

While at Microsoft, James managed products at multiple lifecycle stages in analytics, marketing, search personalization, and experimentation (A/B testing). Co-Founded as Head of Product, Spoken Biography, leading the vision, strategy, customer research, UX/UI, CRO, and roadmap for a product to connect families through guided, spoken storytelling.

Track record of building multiple products. Pitched and then built a 0-1 analytics platform used by thousands of Microsoft employees for mission-critical executive reporting, exploratory data analysis, and diagnostic product/business intelligence scenarios. Managed vision and roadmap for areas of Microsoft’s experimentation platform used by thousands across 160 teams, and scaled it to external customers in partnership with PlayFab.

Seasoned manager and cross-functional collaborator. Grew and led a team of 40 across PM, engineering, and design at Microsoft.  Regularly collaborated with data science, marketing, finance, other product teams, and external stakeholders. Managed a portfolio of products having joint release objectives and dependencies on other product teams.

In his spare time, James can be found finding ways to push his comfort zone hiking the beautiful mountains of the PNW and rowing on Lake Union.
